the weather is getting warmer, the frangipanis are starting to bloom; change is upon us in Brisbane. last week, true to form, was the Brisbane edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival. also true to form, Emily Smith & I joined in on the fun.
Tuesday’s group show was set inside the handsome Saint John’s cathedral & OH what a sight. an unexpected & delightful opera singer set the tone, which lead into the opening Camilla runway. what. a. treat.
Emily opted for stunning white silk palazzo pants & a vintage silk top, while I debuted a vintage white Gail Sorronda dress (flouncy flouncy flouncy!). plot twist, we BOTH wore Brisbane lipstick… because well, Brisbane.
post-show, we enjoyed debriefing our favourites over wines at the Collective Kitchen. Ginger & Smart’s swoon-worthy palette of light pinks, tangerines, & whites ranked high, Camilla continued to impress us with reinventions of floaty silks, the red lips & natural hair were noteworthy, & the over all feel of relaxed loungewear was well welcomed.
as always, our gal Nyaluak Leth was a joy to watch strutting down the runway. she exudes style & confidence, no matter the designer (although Moreno Marcos pictured below looks mighty fabulous). you go girl.
cheers to the many creatives involved, changing seasons, & catching up with old friends. & tangerine silks, obviously.
